BELIEVE IN ME

“You should believe in me”- I said

“I can't do that, Kenny!”, she shouted while he was crying.

She is in danger, but she thinks Sammy is goog for her. But Sammy is the head of a criminal group.

“What is happening here? Are you okay, my darling? Said Sam while he ate a tuna sandwich.

“Nothing, he just came here to lend me this dress. Kenny, please, say thanks to your sister. You convinced me.”

“Convince you of what?” Sam asked.

“About the dress. Maybe I can give it to you back in front of the Town Hall at 5 pm”

“Okay, have a good night, couple”I said.

They closed the door of the appartment. I was walking near two houses when I heard my name. It was Olivia. She run into me.

“I Kicked Sammy on his leg. He was trying to know things about what you and me were talking about”.

“What else?” I asked.

“I'm scared. Sorry for thinking you were lying to me. I thought Sammy was different.” She said.

“Is he still in the house? “I asked. Then we turned around because we heard Sammy's voice.

“We need to run, let's go tho the bookshop. My mother's best friend is the one who manages the bookshop, she can help us!” Said Olivia.

Then we two started to run again in the opposite direction where Sammy was. We arrived at the bookshop and the woman was scared when she saw us.

“You must help us!” Olivia said. “My exboyfriend is a criminal”

“Okay” The woman replied. “Have you got any evidence against his gang?”

“I say a stamp on one letter. It was a black star with blood or something like that in the center”. I said.

“Oh... let me search...Aha!I got it!”

“Please, send the information to this address”. I gave her a paper with my address.

“Don't worry. Here you are.” She gave us some papers. “Now you all should leave the bookshop because I'm going to close. “ The woman shouted. And everybody left the place.

“Olivia, you can stay in my house if you want. There is no problem.” I said.

“Thanks, Kenny”She said.

We went to my house in my car. Now we are in the sofa watching TV because the stamp was a stain and Sammy isn't a criminal. He is only a singer who likes drinking coffe while he is reading letters from his fans.

THE MONSTER OF THE TUNNEL

One summer morning some swimmers were having a walk along the coast when they discovered a tunnel near a rock. They walked to the tunnel end and they saw a little lake.

The lake had something which was shining and they wanted to know what that was. When the first summer put a foot in the water, something began to move in the water.

They shouted and went outside to talk about it. They explained the story at the Town Hall, and many explorers wanted to go to that place, but when they arrived, it was as before.

Two friends, a boy and a girl, wanted to go to the tunnel and see with their own eyes that “monster”. The boy’s name was Peter and the girl’s name was Annie.

They walked into a bookshop and they searched for information about water monsters, because maybe it could be dangerous. Peter and Annie believed the monster was a mermaid, because the “monster” didn’t attack or kick the swimmers.One of Tony’s friends lent him some diving equipment for him and Annie because they couldn’t swim as fast as the other swimmers.

They went to the tunnel and they saw something which was beginning to move in the water. Peter turned on the light of his torch and could only see a tuna. They supposed the tuna was trapped when the tide was low. The objects that were shining were some pieces of glass.

YOUNG LITERATURE

Two weeks ago I asked my students of the 3rd year of ESO to write a very short text which should include some given words. The result was a funny collection of absurd-surrealist stories thoat made us laugh for a while.

Two of those stories, however, stood out due to their quality. They are interesting documents as they are,but they could also be the germ of real tales worth printing. Congratulations!
